Isnt this wonderful!
There were times in Pakistan when you had to look at craft books and mags and drool over the materials. The sad part was very little or few products were available in the market. But now times have changed, I don't have to work only with oils and water paints, so so much more is flown in from all over the world for me to work with. The Expo is heart warming, I wish I could have had time earlier and even though Varah also asked MadOzziee to be there, when I sent a query for sponsorship but time was less for me to prepare for it. I hope I will be there too with them Insha Allah Azza-wa-Jal. I am so glad to see these people even though not many know MadOzziee or me. All that matters is appreciation which Varah, her team and the artisans need. Ozziee hugs and pawives to all! And good luck for the big day.
P.S. They also are talking about ORIGINALITY of work. How cool is that. Well I still stand my ground on copy rights of art and working with original ideas. Thanks Craft Expo for emphasizing on it too.

Quilling and Embossing
Dear
Ozzitarians! I have posted my new card design, combining dry emboss,
trellis cut out and of course quilled roses. These are invitation cards
for a certificate ceremony with peach and grey theme. The selected
shades were cold and unwelcoming so I twisted a little persimom peach to
spice it up. How do you like it?

Quilling Paper Storage "The Easy Way"
This is how I store my quilling strips once they are out of packs or not in order. I used the following items to prepare them.
1. Empty Tissue Rolls
2. Metallic Paints
3. Embellishments, I used cardboard butterflies and dragon-flies and painted them with metallic paints
Only three materials. You can wrap them up or upto your choice. Made my life easy eh!

Plagiarism............Go away!
Its always really sad for me to encounter plagiarism issues. The more I talk about it the more it gets common. This time I just have a few questions. Why cant we be original? Why it takes someone such an effort to applaud and credit the original artist? Hoe can someone sell others ideas and then complain we are not progressing? Maybe I am too depressed to write this all; yet I am unable to find any answers.

What not to do in Monsoon when Crafting!
All crafters around the world have their favorite time for crafting (in case they are not doing orders). I love crafting in winters. There are many reasons for it, winters have longer nights and home is very comfy too. In summer though time is ample, we have vacations yet the extreme summer ends in turn offs too. But for those who live in the Monsoon belt particularly Pakistan, Bangladesh and India; the season can be a bit tricky too for crafting. Here are a few don't I have composed for a little help. Most of the things I avoid during the humid and moist rainy days.
1. Don't use varnishes or vinyls on furniture for finishing, they tend to form bubbles and end in sticky surfaces due to moisture traps in the chemicals. You will end up in a ruin, dust and animal hair(if you keep pets) will start sticking badly to it, no matter how hard you try. Wood is also full of moisture so when it gets dry it will leave bubbles between surface and varnish coating.
2. Don't leave your paper supplies (quilling strips, tissue, card stock) out specially during nights; if you are into paper crafts and decoupage. paper absorbs water vapors and when the season ends you might end up with faded or fungus stricken precious paper.
3. Don't seal your quilling work, instead put them in sealant bags or air tight boxes and WAIT.
4. Don't use aerosol paints to the max. If it is very important then of course outdoors and go for several light sprays. Avoid impulse to go for the final thick coat finish; you might regret you had waited.
5. Don't prepare painting canvases, again the canvas might have moisture in it and once you move towards drier weather the canvas can show traces of uneven surface.
6. Don't choose oil based paints whether they be aerosol, canned or tubed. During normal course of weather they take (oil on canvas) 15-25 days depending on the amount of oils you have used. In this case if you have not monitored time it might ruin your work.
I hope this helps out some of you. :) Waiting for comments.

What it's all about!
Dear Readers!
I understand that there might be many giveaways and prizes distributed everywhere these days. MadOzziee© giveaway might not be superfluous, but I have picked up some goodies which represent my extreme love for art materials and what passion MadOzziee© delivers for crafting in Pakistan. I understand that MadOzziee© is one of its own kind, we banish all sorts of copy work or plagiarism of ideas and do not practice it even for orders. That's what defines true art. In my opinion if a craft artist copies work he/she might be good-splendid but even then not original.
Yes there are many good craft artists in Pakistan, Bravo! to them yet there are several who might be very famous but not original. Still they are kicking. So fellows the point is what you choose is what you believe in. You chose MadOziee© JazakAllah. You chose any one else JazakAllah as well.
The giveaway is MadOzziee©'s love to you all. I hope you stick around with us, through thick and thin. :)
