D.I.Y. Grass Stamp

These stamps are not my original idea, i was inspired from very many people carving their own stamps from google.com. It is simply not plausible to thank all of you who inspired me.

I have used some old rubbers lying by in my home along with few cheap wholesale rubbers, easily available at book stores.  As you can see there is one pink rubber with lines on it. Just see how helpful such in built designs can be.
I wanted to use the maximum part of my ruuber so I sketched tall grass on it using a soft tip pen.

A rubber, a pen and a sharp sharp cutter from Deli can make it work for you too.

When I used the stamp first time you can see there is a green colour mark on the top of it. That is just because I had not carved it out deep enough. So I scratch a few thin layers until it came clean in stamping.
And this is the final result. I know the display is not dramatic but hey! I did it at midnight yesterday.
Some other stamps I made yesterday.
I carved out one odd line out from the surface design, and this is the result.
 Moon and Star duo.
Flag buntings or tooth of some unforeseen creature. Use your imagination. :)

Glass Painting on Frosted Pane

This is an old picture and sadly not of good quality. I had used frosted glass and opaque one not the crystalline ones. I also outlined it with black which makes it subtle not shiny and gaudy-sort-of.

Water Colours

This is Ozzie- my laziest and grouchiest tomcat. This is a three step water colour session I had when he was asleep. I have used Guitar water colours from Japan, an awesome result and experience in water colours in its own.

Dry Pastel Still Life

From left to right.
Dry pastels work fine only when you know you can handle them. I started with sketching first but not putting in too much of white in case it does not affect the lateral colours applied. The platter in the still life was white so that is also picking white for me was the right choice. While using dry pastels I found it easier to go from light to dark shades. But theres no rule for this so you can ignore it completely:). In the end do not forget to spray fix using Winsor and Newton pastel fixative to enjoy your work for many years and chuckle at your success.
